The ME1990 Alumni Reunion took place on 3 August 2025 at 6:00 PM, bringing together around 20 alumni from the ME Class of 1990, along with six of their former lecturers and retired colleagues and our Head of Department. The evening began with a buffet-style dinner, where participants enjoyed reconnecting over good food and lively conversation. The warm camaraderie set the tone for the rest of the night as alumni exchanged updates on their careers, families, and fond memories of their university days. After dinner, the group moved to Lecture Theatre 7A, where a series of nostalgic slides and videos were presented, showcasing memorable moments from their student life and departmental milestones over the years. Laughter and applause filled the room as everyone reminisced about late-night lab sessions, class projects, and outings. The reunion also featured a special sharing by an ME1990 Bursary Awardee, who spoke about how the bursary had supported his studies and helped shape his journey — inspiring alumni and staff alike. Several alumni and lecturers also took the opportunity to share stories and reflections, expressing gratitude for the friendships and mentorship that had influenced their careers. It was a heartwarming and joyful evening, filled with laughter, nostalgia, and renewed connections — a testament to the enduring bonds within the Mechanical Engineering community.
