DEP5112 Planning Policy and Process

This module equips students with knowledge about the planning process with an emphasis on policy considerations and regulations. It examines the relationship between urban planning and urban design from the practitioner’s perspective. Extensive reference will be made to the Singapore planning process at various levels. It also helps students to develop a sound understanding of the intimate relationship between urban planning and design processes, and how this can be reinforced to achieve a more efficient and attractive urban environment.
