The lecture and exhibition showcase the architectural works of 2 young practices from South East Asia. Tey Tat Sing and Wong Wei Ping of Tetawowe Atelier, an emerging architectural office from Malaysia. Chang Yong Ter of Chang Architects, a small but prolific practice based in Singapore. Both practices share a common trait of questioning the conventional and rethinking new paradigms. Both display a penchant for materiality and the sensitivity towards historical fabric. They understand the climate to gain from its benevolence and tame its wrath. Despite their convergences, the characters of their works are very different, suggesting the uniqueness in the process of enquiring, thinking, creating and crafting.
