We invite you to join us as we celebrate 10 years of NUS Master of Landscape Architecture 2009-2019,  on 23 October 2020 (Singapore time, 5 – 6.30pm), in a virtual webinar to mark this important milestone for the Master of Landscape Architecture at the National University of Singapore. We will recount our journey and share our achievements and goals for the future. We will also launch our 10 years of NUS MLA Exhibition 2020, a virtual exhibition in virtual reality showcasing the vast spectrum of work which students in the program have covered over the last 10 years. Participants will also be able to access a commemorative eBook marking the milestone for the programme.

This webinar will also include a Special Guest Lecture by Professor Christophe Girot (Dean, Department of Architecture, ETH Zurich) on Landscape Topology and Design. The guest lecture will provide insights on the topic on how landscape topology can help inflect change through designed surface alterations. Using examples from sites that are particularly sensitive to climate change, the lecture will showcase how the new landscape that is formed through topographical manipulation can produce a new form of aesthetic that responds to the interaction of human goals with natural systems. The guest speaker’s experience and knowledge will prove insightful in giving you a glimpse into what the future holds for landscape architecture and urban planning in Singapore, in the region, and worldwide.

We look forward to meeting you online.
