Name of Speaker
Associate Professor Jillian Walliss (University of Melbourne) & Dr. Heike Rahmann (RMIT)
Just last week, the Landscape Architecture cluster and Landscape Architecture Society co-organised a guest lecture, titled “Vitalising Landscape Architecture as a Design Practice”.
Jillian Walliss from University of Melbourne & Dr. Heike Rahmann from RMIT discussed the over-reliance of Western references in the practice of landscape architecture today, and argued for the grounding of design practice within specific cultural contexts as a means for revitalizing design practice.
Thanks for joining us in a fruitful lecture and discussion, and we are looking forward to the next! Stay tuned for more upcoming international events, especially more face to face events and guest lectures that we are privileged to be having now.
