University Museums Research Symposium 2020
Universities and Architectural Heritage
The APRU University Museums Research Symposium was established in 2012 to bring participants together for the sharing of research and education initiatives concerning their universities’ cultural and scientific collections. The inaugural symposium was hosted by Kyoto University (2012) followed by the National Taiwan University (2014) and University of Hong Kong (2016).
This year’s symposium, the 4th in the series, is hosted by the National University of Singapore and explores the architectural heritage on university campuses through the following themes:
- Architectural heritage as a pedagogical resource
- Architectural preservation on university campuses
- Bequest of estates to universities
- University archives as research resources
