Welcome to NUS DoA Open House 2025!
DoA is unique in Asia.
International reputation: We are ranked 5th in the world in the subject of architecture/built environment.* The degrees we confer are internationally recognised and highly regarded for their quality.
Interdisciplinarity and multiple pathways: As part of a top-ranked comprehensive research university, we offer a broad, interdisciplinary education with multiple pathways to additional major and minors. On top of the bachelor programmes in architecture and landscape architecture, DoA also offers 7 masters programmes on different specialisations in the built environment. Our students have opportunities to pursue these as concurrent degree programmes.
Our faculty: We are staffed by an international faculty of more than 39 full-time and 21 adjunct faculty members whose excellence in different areas of specialisation have been recognized by major design and research awards.
Our students: Our 800 students comprise over 15 nationalities. Many of them embark on overseas fieldtrips and joint studios. They also go on exchange programmes with leading global architecture schools, including 4 of those ranked top 6 in the world. The works of our students have also been accoladed with awards at key international design competitions.
Our alumni: First established in 1958, DoA has trained generations of architects and designers. Our alumni are instrumental in shaping the local and regional built environment. Among the many recognitions our alumni received are multiple President Design Awards—the highest recognition of design excellence in the nation.
Our facilities: We have recently upgraded the Design Fabrication Workshop to support students in making models for exploration and presentation. The Workshop is well-equipped with laser engravers, subtractive rapid prototyping, a CNC router machine, and 3D printers. The new Materials Library houses a collection of building materials that serves as a resource for our students to explore and select materials for various projects. Each material sample carries information on its properties and uses.
