Master of Landscape Architecture
DoA Graduate Futures Fellowship
The inaugural DoA Graduate Futures Fellowship was launched on 1 October 2024 to support outstanding students from ASEAN member states who wish to pursue a professional graduate degree at the Department of Architecture, NUS.
Eligibility
All citizens of ASEAN member states* (excluding Singapore) who apply to the Master of Landscape Architecture programme are automatically considered for the DoA Graduate Futures Fellowship.
All applications should be submitted to the Graduate Admission System. Applicants are encouraged to apply early from 1 October to 31 December 2024.
* ASEAN member states: Brunei Darussalam, Cambodia, Indonesia, Lao PDR, Malaysia, Myanmar, Philippines, Singapore, Thailand and Vietnam
Quantum
Two Fellowships will be awarded, and each Fellowship provides 40% of full-time tuition fees per academic year.

3. Potential to bring diverse experiences and perspectives to the programme
Shortlisted applicants will be invited to an interview and additional materials may be requested for further deliberation. Either NUS or the programme reserves the right to not award any scholarship if there are no candidates of sufficient merit. The decision of the selection committee is final. Enquiries or disputes surrounding its decisions will not be entertained.
Terms and Conditions of the Fellowship
- Fellowship recipients may not concurrently hold any other scholarship, fellowship, bursary, grant, award or allowance, without prior approval from the University.
- The Fellowship will be renewed every semester provided the fellowship recipient maintains a Grade Point Average (GPA) of at least 3.0 (or equivalent) and has good conduct.
- The Fellowship is tenable for the normal candidature period and cannot be transferred across programmes.
- Neither NUS nor the programme guarantees and/or provides Fellowship recipients with employment upon graduation.
- If the Fellowship recipient decides to withdraw from the University and/or terminate the scholarship prematurely, the University reserves the right to impose repayment of all Fellowship monies disbursed to the Fellow.
LEE LI-MING SCHOLARSHIP FOR ECOLOGICAL DESIGN
The Lee Li-Ming Scholarship for Ecological Design supports international students from ASEAN countries (excluding Singapore Citizens and Permanent Residents) in pursuing an MLA at NUS. The scholarship offers support of $25,000 per year for international students advancing from the NUS BLA programme (for one year), and other international students that graduate from other universities (for two years).
To be considered for this scholarship, candidates will submit a 500-word essay at the time of MLA admissions addressing the importance of ecological processes in design, and how the intend to pursue such knowledge at NUS. Students awarded this scholarship must maintain a minimum GPA of 4.0, volunteer for an environmental organization, and carry out a design thesis or research dissertation featuring ecological processes in landscape design.
Gardens By The Bay Scholarship
Offered to candidates who are passionate about Horticulture and possess a keen interest in pursuing a long-term career in this field. The Gardens will support our Scholars in embarking on their tertiary journey, with challenging and rewarding career paths and job rotations. Scholars can expect a rewarding experience – where passion is inspired and expertise is nurtured.

DesignSingapore Scholarship
DesignSingapore Scholarship is for individuals with creativity, drive and passion for design. The scholarship will groom designers to become designer leaders who will use strategy and innovation to make things better by design. Our scholarship holders may come from different fields of design, but they share one uncommon trait – they are game changers and aspire to contribute to Singapore and the design sector. We are on the lookout for talented individuals with creative flair, the drive to push boundaries; and a heart to serve Singapore.

AWARD - Gardens by the Bay Prize
This cash prize of $1000 is awarded in each academic year to the top graduate with the highest GPA in the MLA programme. Student has to complete the programme with the minimum GPA of 4.5 to be considered.
