Urbanism
Overview
With a comprehensive understanding of the complexity and distinctive characters of emerging urbanism in Asia, the vision is to study and develop sustainable models and innovative urban strategies to cope with various environmental, social, economic and technological challenges that Asian cities face today and in the future. Emergent urban issues related to sustainability and resilience, adaptive and strategic development, high-density conditions, community and civic participation, urban experience and placemaking, ageing, health and wellbeing, conservation and regeneration, critical urban resources, built form and urban mobility, modelling and big data, are investigated from multiple perspectives and through inter- and trans-disciplinary collaborations to question conventional norms and conceptions and establish new visions for sustainable urban futures.
