Community Engagement in Architecture Design Education in ASEAN e-Symposium 2022
The two day e-symposium from 23 to 24 June 2022 brought together educators in ASEAN architecture schools to share insights of community engagement in the curriculum of architecture/urban design education, their pedagogy and their best practices. It provided a platform for possible collaborations in education and research and sharing of teaching resources in the area of community engagement. There were 16 presentations from 14 universities and 9 countries with engaging panel discussions.
The Co-chairs were Associate Professor Tan Beng Kiang, National University of Singapore, and Professor Rawiwan Oranratmanee, Chiang Mai University.
The event was jointly organised by AUN-ADERA’s Urbanism, Environment and Community Workgroup and Department of Architecture, National University of Singapore. AUN stands for ASEAN University Network and ADERA stands for Architecture Design Education and Research in ASEAN.
