Chaw Chih Wen is a registered Architect in Singapore, founding director of Hyphen Architects, a practice interested in surveying the emerging world of homo deus and its related socio-political-cultural phenomenon and most importantly, their spatial implications.
The practice operates across the region of South East Asia and have been recognised in both regional and global awards such as Singapore Institute of Architects Award (Residential), BCI Asia Award (hospitality), Inside Awards (Residential) and AHEAD Asia (hospitality). Some of practice’s work has been showcased in notable design platforms like Tokyo Designer’s week and most recently, was a part of the Singapore Pavilion at the 2021 Venice Biennale of Architecture.
Chih Wen graduated from National University of Singapore with both a Bachelor of Arts (Architecture) and a Master of Architecture. He has been an invited guest reviewer for various local design institutions and had previously held teaching position In La Salle College of the Arts (Spatial Design), Futures Unit.
