Technological advancements have always influenced how we alter the landscape. Even the invention of the hoe and axe allowed early humans to irrigate fields and clear forests. In an age whereby digital tools are readily available to record, study and understand the world around us, how then do these modern tools affect landscape design and planning processes and direct them towards more ecologically and culturally sensitive outcomes?
