Ryusuke KOJIO

Mr Ryusuke Kojio is a licensed/registered architect in Japan, Germany, and APEC with over 32 years of experience in design-build delivery of various type of projects, including around sixteen years in Europe (Germany, the Netherlands, UK, the Czech Republic, Poland, etc.) and almost four years in Singapore and other Southeast Asian countries. He works for Takenaka Corporation, a Japanese Design-Build firm over four centuries of history. The firm has been active in Singapore for almost fifty years and has delivered various important buildings like National Gallery Singapore or Changi Airport Terminals.
He holds a master’s degree in Architectural History from the Graduate School of Kyoto University in Japan. He gave lectures at several universities in Germany such as TUM (Technical University of Munich) and RWTH (Rheinisch-Westfälische Technische Hochschule) Aachen University, and made many presentations at international conferences, for instance, WSBE (World Sustainable Built Environment) Conferences. He has been invited as a critic for studio projects by several architectural schools including National University of Singapore, Department of Architecture, and Singapore University of Technology and Design.
