Ryusuke Kojio is a licensed/registered architect in Japan, Germany, and the APEC region, with over 35 years of experience across diverse building projects. His extensive career spans approximately 16 years in Europe (including Germany, the Netherlands, the UK, the Czech Republic, and Poland) and six and a half years in Singapore and Southeast Asia. He has been affiliated with Takenaka Corporation, a renowned Japanese design-build company with over four centuries of history. Takenaka has been operating in Singapore for more than 50 years and is credited with landmark projects such as the National Gallery Singapore, Changi Airport Terminals, and the Singapore Land Tower.

Mr. Kojio holds a Master’s degree in Architectural History from Kyoto University's Graduate School and is currently pursuing a Ph.D. in Architectural Systems and Management at the same institution. He has delivered lectures at esteemed institutions, including the Technical University of Munich (TUM), RWTH Aachen University, and the Delft University of Technology (TU Delft). Additionally, he has presented at international conferences such as the World Sustainable Built Environment (WSBE) conferences and served as a guest critic for architectural studio projects at universities including the National University of Singapore (NUS) and the Singapore University of Technology and Design (SUTD).

Since February 2022, Mr. Kojio has been conducting lectures in the Master of Arts in Architectural Conservation (MAArC) programme at the Department of Architecture, College of Design and Engineering, National University of Singapore.
