Tan Kok Hiang is a Founding Director of Forum Architects Pte Ltd, a firm based in Singapore since 1994. He obtained his Bachelor of Architecture (Hons) from the National University of Singapore in 1987.

In 2014, he was named Designer of the Year at the President’s Design Awards, Singapore’s most prestigious design accolade. He has garnered more 35 design excellence awards. Yale-NUS College, Assyafaah Mosque and Maxwell Chambers also won the Chicago Anthaneum International Awards.

Kok Hiang is a Professor(Practice) in the Architectural Department of the National University of Singapore. He was on the Advisory Committee of the School of Design and Environment, National University of Singapore from 2008 to 2017. He was a member of the Architecture Urban Design Excellence (A.UDE) Promotion Programme Approving Committee for URA and served on the Design Advisory Panels for Orchard Road projects and Punggol Digital District.

He currently sits on the HDB Design Advisory Panel and is the Chairman of the Preservation of Sites and Monuments Advisory Board.
