Graduate Certificate in Technology for Environmental Sustainability (TES)

Given the continuous change in the skill sets required for many occupations, businesses are redirecting investments to on-the-job training and lifelong learning. To accommodate this shift in trend, our education systems need to keep up with the demands of the labour market. The Graduate Certificate in Technology for Environmental Sustainability introduces students to the latest technologies in Environmental Sustainability for local and international professions. Students can expect to gain enhanced knowledge in water, wastewater, toxic and hazardous waste, and air pollution management and treatment facilities design. Graduates may be eligible for progression to the Master of Science in Environmental Engineering programme.  

Eligibility

Applications are open to individuals with a Bachelor’s degree, in particular the B.Eng (Environmental Engineering), or equivalent.

Period of Candidature

Part-time: maximum 2 years.  

Award of Graduate Certificate

Upon completion of 16 modular credits with a Cumulative Average Point (CAP) of at least 2.50 out of 5.00.  

Admission to Master of Science Programme

Upon completion of the Graduate Certificate Programme, graduates with CAP ≥ 3.50 will be considered for admission to a relevant M.Sc. programme, subject to approval by host department. Submission of application is required.  

Modular Fee

SGD 2,900 (before GST) (for 16 modular credits)  

Refund Policy

  1. 100% refund for module registration cancellation. Cancellation must be made in writing latest by 3 working days BEFORE first day of lecture.
  2. Cancellation request is subject to approval by Department of Civil & Environmental Engineering.
  3. Fees paid are non-refundable after the abovementioned period.

Schedule of Modules

To be advised one month before semester begins. It is expected that each module duration is 6 to 7 weeks, including final assessments.
