Currently, the Department comprises clusters of leading research groups in (1) climate change mitigation and adaptation, (2) digital and smart technology, (3) smart and liveable cities, (4) environmental protection and sustainability, (5) offshore and ocean infrastructures, and (6) resilient urban systems. These clusters promote interdisciplinary as well as translational research. CEE is in the midst of a significant expansion in size and scope across disciplinary boundaries to develop transformative solutions to urban and global challenges and help prepare society for the future in conjunction with other departments across the university and beyond.

The Department of Civil & Environmental Engineering, National University of Singapore (NUS) invites applications for faculty positions in the area of digital construction management. The candidate should hold a doctorate in civil engineering and construction and project management, preferably with background and experience in, but not limited to, autonomous system, augmented reality, building information modeling (BIM), smart system, internet of things (IoT), big data analytics, horizontal and vertical integration, artificial intelligence and 3D printing. Relevant experience and professional qualifications (e.g. professional engineer) in civil engineering will be considered favorably. The opening is at the Assistant Professor or Lecturer level. Exceptionally well qualified applicants may be considered at the Associate Professor level.

Postdoctoral experience is highly desirable. The successful candidate must be able to teach effectively in English at both undergraduate and graduate levels and develop an active research programme.
