Biography

Dr Somsak Swaddiwudhipong is currently an Emeritus Professor in the Department of Civil and Environmental Engineering. His research work is mainly on the Analysis, Design and Construction of Tall Buildings, Computational Mechanics, Appraisal and Retrofit of Concrete Structures and Material Characterization. He was a co-recipient of the inaugural Gold Medal Award for the Prestigious Publication (Application) from the Institution of Engineers, Singapore (IES) in 1990 and the International Journal of solids and Structures most Cited Author 2005-2008.
