Assoc Professor Simone Fatichi from the Department of Civil and Environmental Engineering has been awarded the “Hydrologic Sciences Early Career Award” for the hydrology section by American Geophysical Union, AGU in Oct 2020 for his significant contributions to the Science of Hydrology through the understanding and modeling physical and ecosystem processes at the hydrology-biogeosciences-climate interface.

The Hydrologic Sciences Early Career Award is presented annually and recognizes outstanding contributions to hydrology through research, education, or societal impacts. It is also the highest recognition in the field of hydrology for young scientists (≤10 years from PhD).
