Asst Prof He Xiaogang recipient of the SERB-VAJRA Faculty Award (India) - Civil and Environmental Engineering

VAJRA is a dedicated program exclusively for overseas scientists and academicians with emphasis on Non-resident Indians (NRI) and Persons of Indian Origin (PIO) / Overseas Citizen of India (OCI) to work as adjunct / visiting faculty for a specific period of time in Indian Public funded academic and research institutions. The Scheme recognizes the value of collaborative research skills, and also to draw different perspectives to solve a shared problem. SERB (Science and Engineering Research Board) welcomes accomplished Overseas Scientists to take up challenging research problems in the Indian setting.

With the SERB-VAJRA Faculty Award, Dr He Xiaogang will be appointed as ‘Adjunct Faculty’ in the designated Indian Host institution, which is IIT Kanpur, Civil Engineering.

Dr He’s proposed research topic is “Potential of managed aquifer recharge to enhance drought and flood resilience in India under climate change.”
