The IES Prestigious Engineering Achievement Awards 2019 were presented at the World Engineers Summit (WES) 2019 Conference Dinner held on 29 August 2019 at the Suntec Singapore Convention and Exhibition Centre.
With Assistant Professor Olivier Lefebvre’s proprietary graphene electrodes, he proposes electrochemistry as the new gold standard to address the problem of “hard-to-treat” industrial wastewater. This is a problem of utmost importance recently highlighted by the World Bank Group in their report entitled “Quality Unknown: the Invisible Water Crisis”.
