Sustainable Development

Climate change and rising seawater levels are a threat to Singapore and all countries worldwide. It is going to affect your livelihood, home and children unless we do something about it now.

We offer a Second Major in Sustainable Urban Development to provide you with broad exposure to urban sustainability. The Second Major will equip you with the interdisciplinary knowledge and skills to address the most pressing issues of urban development and its human impacts in cities, in the context of changing climate and sustainability. You can take this Second Major in addition to your first major in B.Eng. (Civil Engineering).

Digitalisation

Digital technologies and large data are increasingly shaping the way our infrastructure and environment are being designed and built. Drones, automation, robotics, AI, computer vision and IoT are technologies that will transform our built environment in many years to come.

We offer a Specialization in Digitalization of Urban Infrastructure to equip you with the skills to integrate these technologies into the field of civil engineering. You can take this Specialization with other Majors or Minors within your Unrestricted Electives.
