Students who wish to enrol in the Civil Engineering programme must have obtained H2 pass in Mathematics or Further Mathematics, in addition to the minimum requirements for application to the University.

Selection tests or interviews are not required as part of the application process except for applicants under consideration for scholarships or aptitude-based (discretionary) admission.

For applicants to NUS with Singapore-Cambridge GCE ‘A’ Level, Polytechnic, NUSHS, and IB certificates, NUS will award bonus points for their first choice of programme for admission from Academic Year 2022/2023 onwards. This policy is aimed at supporting and encouraging students to pursue their passions and interest and will apply to all courses except those which require interviews or additional selection. To support and encourage you to pursue your passions and interest, NUS offers the First Choice Bonus Points Scheme, where you will get bonus points added to your admission score for your first choice non-interview single degree course* when NUS evaluates your application for admissions. For example, if you have A-levels qualifications and you apply for Civil Engineering as your first choice, your admissions score would be increased by 1.25 points.
