NUS CEE 70th Anniversary Awards
To celebrate Civil and Environmental Engineering (CEE) Department’s 70th anniversary and recognise students’ academic dedication and achievements, we are offering a new CEE 70th Anniversary Award to eligible 2025 students. Â

Eligibility
Students must fulfil the following criteria to be eligible for the CEE 70th Anniversary Award:
- Pursue Civil Engineering or Environmental and Sustainability Engineering as first major.Â
- Matriculate at NUS CEE undergraduate programme in Aug 2025 (including returning NS students matriculating in 2025); or be a student starting NS in 2025, who accepts CEE’s offer in 2025 and matriculates at NUS CEE in Aug 2027.
- Possess one of the following pre-university qualifications: GCE A-Level, Polytechnic Diploma, IB, or NUSHS Diploma, and meet the academic performance requirements for the respective award tiers.The grade profile for the Stellar Award is as follows:

Stellar Awards
Stellar Award winners receive the following benefits:
- Undergraduate Tuition Fee coverage
- CDE Masters Award
(The CDE Masters Award will provide the tuition fees for an eligible post-graduate coursework degree programme at NUS CDE. Please refer to the CDE Masters Award webpage for the terms and conditions.)
The Undergraduate Tuition Fee coverage for the Stellar Award is detailed below:
Citizenship | Undergraduate Tuition Fee coverage |
Singapore Citizens | Full coverage of subsidised tuition fee after tuition grant for 4 years of candidature. |
Singapore PRs and international students | Same amount of tuition fee coverage as the amount covered for Singapore Citizens.
The students will need to pay the difference between their tuition fee and the subsidized tuition fee for Singapore Citizen. |
Conditions of Stellar Award:
- The Stellar Award winners who receive any other scholarship/award/bursary that cover the student’s undergraduate tuition fee are not eligible to receive the Undergraduate Tuition Fee coverage under the Stellar Award. In such cases, they may instead receive $8,000 reimbursable allowance to support academic related expenses on similar terms as the Excellence/Honours/Merit Awards.
- The Stellar Award winner must maintain a CAP of 3.5 and above to continue receiving the Undergraduate Tuition Fee coverage.
- If award winners receive any other scholarship/award/bursary, it is their responsibility to confirm with the respective provider whether accepting the CEE 70th Anniversary Award would violate any terms or conditions of the other award.
Excellence Awards
The Excellence Award winner will receive the following benefits:
- $6000 allowance on a reimbursement basis, on similar terms as the Honours/Merit Awards
- CEE Masters Award
CEE Masters Award
CEE Masters award provides tuition fee coverage for CEE MSc programmes, as detailed in the table below:

Conditions of CEE Masters Award:
- The student must pursue a MSc degree with NUS CEE within 2 years after obtaining their
undergraduate degree. - The student must meet the prevailing entry requirement for NUS CEE MSc programme.
- The students shall not concurrently hold any other scholarship/award/bursary that cover their MSc tuition fee.
Honours/Merit Awards
The Honours/Merit Awards winner will receive the $5000/$4000 allowance on a reimbursement basis. Reimbursable items, as part of this awards scheme, are meant to support students’ academic pursuits.
The following list is not exhaustive:
Computer/Electronics | Purchase of Laptop, software and peripherals. |
Academic Materials, Membership and Courses | Student Chapter Membership, books/training materials, courses, conferences, workshops, seminars organised by engineering professional bodies such as government agencies, societies approved by academic mentor. |
Educational trips | SEP (airfare and accommodation), local and overseas field/study/project trips and conferences (airfare, accommodation, registration fee) organised by professional bodies and societies as approved and supported by academic mentor. |
Note: Student needs to abide the department’s guidelines in the reimbursement
