Learning Visit to CFI Singapore by Delegates of Singapore Cooperation Programme (MFA)
4 December 2024
CFI Singapore was honored to host delegates from the MFA-Singapore Cooperation Programme (SCP) as part of their Disaster Risk Management Training Programme. The visit featured presentations from CFI Singapore and the Technology Centre for Offshore and Marine, Singapore (TCOMS), offering participants a deeper understanding of Singapore’s integrated approach to coastal protection and flood resilience.
The delegation, comprising senior government officials from Southeast Asia, the Pacific Islands, Africa, and Eastern Europe, was introduced to CFI's mission, key projects, and innovative strategies. The discussions highlighted the crucial role of data-driven solutions and adaptive infrastructure in enhancing resilience to climate change and coastal hazards. Delegates expressed strong interest in applying Singapore’s insights and best practices to address similar challenges in their own countries, fostering a valuable exchange of knowledge and experiences. The visit concluded with a tour of the NUS Hydraulics Engineering Lab, further enriching the learning experience.
We are proud to support SCP’s efforts in advancing global disaster risk management and look forward to future opportunities for collaboration and knowledge-sharing.
Our thanks go to the Civil Service College for organizing the visit and facilitating this enriching exchange and to TCOMS for taking time deliver an engaging presentation.
