Dr See Jie Yang
Assistant Manager, Office of Research and Technology, Dean’s Office

Before joining the Office of Research and Technology, Dr See Jie Yang worked at the SingHealth Office of Research, where he guided clinician-scientists through the end-to-end grant lifecycle. An alumnus of NUS with a PhD in Chemistry (2019), he transitioned from active research to research administration.

He now brings this specialised expertise to CDE, supporting our researchers in both pre-and post-award grant management, as well as strategic programmes that advance the interests of the College and NUS.

Ms Charis Welikande
Senior Manager, Communications and Marketing, Dean’s Office

Ms Charis Welikande brings over a decade of experience as a creative writer, covering subjects ranging from pharmaceuticals and construction to F&B and technology. She specialises in blending storytelling with factual detail and looks forward to showcasing CDE’s stories of industry partnerships, research innovations and new ventures.

Ms Fu Bo
Assistant Senior Manager, Administration, Dean's Office

Ms Fu Bo joins the Dean’s Office following her role at the NUS Agility Office, where she contributed to the Organisational Agility Survey by supporting analytics and generating insights for stakeholders across the University. Prior to that, she was with NUS Business School, where she gained experience in research, administration, and operational support.

With a strong background in organisational excellence, data analytics, and senior-level secretariat support across both University and College environments, she will support the Dean in advancing strategic initiatives, with a focus on data-driven decision-making, stakeholder engagement, and operational effectiveness.

Miss Ngew Hui Si Amy
Manager, Office of Undergraduate Programmes, Dean’s Office

Prior to joining the Office of Undergraduate Programmes (OUP), Ms Ngew Hui Si Amy worked at Temasek Polytechnic for 17 years. With her extensive experience in the education sector, she provides support in student matters, examinations, and awards at OUP.

Mr Eric Tan
Assistant Manager, Communications and Marketing, Dean’s Office

Mr Eric Tan brings experience in strategic communications and creative development across the public and private sectors. He has worked on integrated communications initiatives spanning concept development, stakeholder engagement, and brand positioning. He looks forward to supporting the College’s communications and marketing efforts, strengthening its platforms, and contributing to initiatives that showcase CDE’s impact. Outside of work, he enjoys creative storytelling, automotive tinkering, and experimenting in the kitchen.

Staff Retirement

Mr Lim Soon Cheong, Laboratory Technologist, Department of Mechanical Engineering, with last day of service on 28 February 2026.

Mr Lim joined the Department of Mechanical Engineering in 1991 and has since been a dedicated, hardworking, and ever-helpful colleague.

He is well known for his willingness to support others and is often seen fully engaged in his work or assisting colleagues and students with their projects. Beyond his strong work ethic, he exemplified the spirit of a lifelong learner—always curious, always eager to grow. His enthusiasm for learning has inspired many and left a lasting impression on the team.

He has decided to retire after many dedicated years with our department. We are deeply grateful for his commitment, leadership, and invaluable contribution.

We wish him happiness and fulfilment in this new chapter of life.
