FACULTY AND STAFF UPDATES

Dr Goh Tian, Lecturer, Department of Industrial Systems Engineering and Management
The Department of Industrial Systems Engineering & Management warmly welcomed Dr Goh Tian in early May 2023. Goh Tian joins ISEM as Lecturer and was a Research Fellow at the Energy System Institute prior to her appointment in ISEM. She graduated with BEng (Engineering Science), First Class Honours in 201, was the Valedictorian and on the Deanā€™s List. She went on to acquire her MSc (Asian Studies) from NTU before returning to NUS to pursue her PhD in the Dept of ISEM. Her research interests reside in Energy Systems Analysis, Climate Change and Energy Policy, Emissions Accounting and Sustainability Reporting, and she will be supporting the departmentā€™s curriculum in Sustainability Analytics.

Mr Nur Muhammad Bin Abdul Razak, Senior Executive, Department of Architecture
Razak joined the Department of Architecture as a Senior Executive. Razak has over seven years of experience working in the non-profit sector, where he has worked on a variety of programmes that engage the community through sports. He is an individual who is passionate about the built environment and sustainability. For his role in DOA, he will support all departmentā€™s outreach activities including promoting different programmes and research projects, developing strong partnerships with government and industry, and establishing new, and fostering existing, collaboration with universities and research institutions around the world.

Mdm Eileen Ong Hwee Ling, Assistant Manager, Department of Civil and Environmental Engineering
Eileen Ong joined the Department of Civil and Environmental Engineering as an Assistant Manager on 22 May 2023. She supports the administration of postgraduate coursework in the areas of exchange and internship, as well as the coordination of postgraduate publicity programmes.

Ms Ranee Teo Bee Hong, Assistant Manager, Department of Electrical and Computer Engineering
Ranee joined the Department of Electrical and Computer Engineering on 15 May 2023 as Assistant Manager supporting Professor Lim Yeow Kheng in Industry Engagement Projects and the SHINE programme. She has extensive business support experience in a cross-cultural global business environment across diverse industries.

Mr Wilson Chan Wai Shen, Laboratory Technologist, Department of Electrical and Computer Engineering
Wilson joined the Department of Electrical and Computer Engineering on 2 May 2023 as a Laboratory Technologist in E6NanoFab.

Ms Yeung Siu Chun, Department of Materials Science and Engineering
Siu Chun joined the Department of Materials Science and Engineering as an Executive on 1 May 2023. Prior to that, she was administrative support at the C-TReND Centre in the School of Computing. In her new position, Siu Chunā€™s primary responsibility is to provide concierge service to new academic hires and assist them on procurement. She will also provide general support to the Admin Office.

Mr Samuel Lim Jia Jun, Senior Executive, Department of Materials Science and Engineering
Samuel joined the Department of Materials Science and Engineering and AMAT-NUS Corporate Lab as a Senior Executive in May 2023. He obtained a Bachelor in Business Management with a Double Major in Marketing and Strategic Management as well as a Post-Graduate Diploma in Communication Management and Innovation from Singapore Management University. He has five years of experience in Communications, having executed projects ranging from content development on digital platforms to events, stakeholder management and administration. He will provide support on recruitment, outreach and activities planning within the AMAT-NUS corporate lab.

Mr Nazir Mohammed Amir, Manager, Deanā€™s Office (Office of Graduate Programmes)
Nazir joined the Office of Graduate Programmes as a Manager on 8 May 2023. He brings with him a long track record in content writing, editing and marketing. Throughout his career, he has helped to market the products and services of established brands, from both private and public sectors. He will be supporting the outreach efforts for Office of Graduate Programmes.

Mr Tan Gee Soon, Management Assistant Officer, Deanā€™s Office (Office of Undergraduate Programmes)
Gee Soon joined the Office of Undergraduate Programmes as a Management Assistant Officer on 3 May 2023. He supports examination logistics for all examination venues in CDE as well as administrating the Enhancement Courses (e.g., Undergraduate Research Opportunities Programme (UROP), Independent Work (IW) etc.
