Ms Chong Ren Pian, Instructor, Division of Industrial Design
Ren Pian joined the Division of Industrial Design (DID) as an Instructor. She works closely with the Design Thinking programme team in content creation and facilitating the Design Thinking workshops.
Mr Gregory Tan Huai-Bin, Teaching Assistant, Division of Industrial Design
Gregory joined the Division of Industrial Design (DID) as a Teaching Assistant. He works closely with the Design Thinking programme team in facilitating the Design Thinking workshops.
Ms Karyn Lim Shi Yun, Instructor, Division of Industrial Design
Karyn joined the Division of Industrial Design (DID) as an Instructor. She works closely with the Design Thinking programme team in content creation and facilitating the Design Thinking workshops.
Ms Namita Kashyap, Teaching Assistant, Division of Industrial Design
Namita joined the Division of Industrial Design (DID) as a Teaching Assistant. She works closely with the Design Thinking programme team in facilitating the Design Thinking workshops.
Mr Jovan Tan, Instructor, Engineering Design and Innovation Centre
Jovan joined the Engineering Design and Innovation Centre (EDIC) as an Instructor. He is also concurrently pursuing his PhD with CDE. His research interest is in applied innovation and sustainability, where Restorative Innovation is his most notable work. He is also a Fellow of the World Economic Forum, Advisor to TRIA Solutions, Chairman of SAFRA Entrepreneursā€™ Club, and sits on several other committees. He has also been regularly featured on respectable media outlets, including Channel NewsAsiaā€™s Money Mind and CNA938, for his thought leadership and expertise in sustainability and the circular economy.
Ms Apple Pong Yun Ling, Senior Executive, Department of Civil and Environmental Engineering
Apple joined the Department of Civil and Environmental Engineering (CEE) as Senior Executive on 7 June 2023. She has diverse experience in marketing communications & campaigns. In CEE, she supports postgraduate publicity and outreach programs.
Ms Liu Zihan, Executive, Department of Civil and Environmental Engineering
Zihan was transferred to CDE CEE from the School of Business on 15 June 2023. Her role in CEE is to manage the day-to-day finance and procurement of research activities in the Centre for Excellence for the Coastal Protection and Flood Management Research Program (CoE-CFRP).
Mr Goh Honzhen, Laboratory Technologist, Department of Chemical and Biomolecular Engineering
Honzhen transferred to the Department of Chemical and Biomolecular Engineering as Laboratory Technologist on 15 May 2023. With his years of laboratory experience in NUS, he performs general housekeeping cum operation of common lab equipment as well as provides support in safety inspection for laboratory activities undertaken in the ChBE laboratories. He also assists in the Smart Card Access System and coordinates the department's disposal of electronic & laboratory chemical waste.
Mr Tee Kok Wee Ethen, Senior Executive, Office of Development
Ethen has years of experience in customer and stakeholder engagement from the private sector. He is also familiar with event planning, photography, and videography.Ā As part of the Office of Development team, he will cultivate relationships with current and prospective donors from internal and external communities.
Ms Sin Sit Yen Vivi, Assistant Senior Manager, Office of Graduate Programmes
Vivi joined the Office of Graduate Programmes as Assistant Senior Manager on 21 June 2023. Vivi has extensive experience in managing student affairs, admissions, and examinations in her previous positions. She will be supporting admissions, programme administration and management of Graduate Coursework programmes in the Office of Graduate Programmes.
Mr Soh Teck Hui Nicholas, Executive, Office of Graduate Programmes
Nicholas joined the Office of Graduate Programmes as an Executive on 1 June 2023. He provides operational support to programme administration of all Continuing Education and Training (CET) Programmes (SSG and Non-SSG funded). He will also provide general support to any ad-hoc events/projects for the Office of Graduate Programmes.
Ms Ang Ai Khim, Assistant Senior Manager, Office of Undergraduate Programmes
Ai Khim joined the Office of Undergraduate Programmes (OUP) as an Assistant Senior Manager on 19 June 2023. She brings with her extensive experience in regulatory affairs, quality management and operations management. At OUP, she will lead curriculum matters, with a secondary role to facilitate change initiatives and drive special projects.
Appointments
Professor Lee Heow Pueh will be appointed Acting Head for the Department of Mechanical Engineering (ME) effective 1 July 2023. He will lead the department while the search for the new Head is in progress. This follows Professor Gregory Scott Chirikjianā€™s successful tenure as ME Head for the past four and a half years. We would like to thank him for his invaluable service and contributions to CDE.

Faculty Retirement
Professor Liu Li-Fan, Philip and Professor Si Boon Ing Michael, from the Department of Civil and Environmental Engineering, will have their last day of service on 30 June 2023.
