CDE's Bumblebee Industrial Sponsorsā€™ Appreciation Event
Team Bumblebee organised an appreciation dinner on 20 October 2023 to celebrate and share the teamā€™s incredible achievements thus far with the teamā€™s sponsors and partners. Mr Shawn Huang, MP of Jurong Spring, graced this event. Team Bumblebee is a fully undergraduate multi-disciplinary project comprising of students across multiple programmes such as Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering and Computer Science. This year, Team Bumblebee reached new heights, securing the top spot at the 2023 RoboSub Challenge with AUV 4.1, the triumphant victory at the 2022 RoboSub Challenge and the impressive second-place finish at the 2022 Maritime Robot Challenge in Sydney with Autonomous Surface Vessel 3.0. During the event, specially designed tokens of appreciation were presented to the industrial sponsors, including Capitaland, Solidworks, Bossard and many others. It was truly a night to remember! MOU signed to establish Seatrium Professorship at CDE
The College of Design and Engineering, NUS (CDE) has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) with Seatrium Limited to establish a named professorship at the College.
The MOU was signed by Professor Teo Kie Leong, Acting Dean of CDE, and Mr Aziz Merchant, Executive Vice President, Technology & New Product Development, at Seatrium at a ceremony held at NUS on October 6.
