STUDENT ACHIEVEMENTS & STUDENT LIFE

A Gentle Reminder

2

It is once again the NUS Examination period where it is understandable for many students to feel stressed and overwhelmed.

However, it's crucial to remember that your well-being is paramount, and taking care of yourself is essential for academic success. The 7 PitStop Principles introduced by the OSA Student Wellness can be adopted as a part of your lifestyle to help manage stress and enhance your mental well-being.

As you navigate through the examination period and the upcoming Vacation, keep an eye out for the CDE Office of Student Life’s career and wellness workshops as well as college events coming up in Semester 2, AY2023/2024, including the much-anticipated CDE Day on 24 January 2024.

WellNUS - the CDE Edition

The WellNUS Festival, a vibrant celebration of wellness and well-being, concluded its CDE students’ edition with several workshops held over the end of October 2023.

In collaboration with the NUS Office of Student Affairs, the Office of Student Life brought CDE students on a culinary journey (of making Korean food) at CDE’s very own kitchen within the To-Gather space.

Under the guidance of the NUS Bakers and Cooks facilitators, groups of chirpy CDE students participated in the Korean food-making workshop on 27 October 2023. Through the workshop, students explored and learned how to make hearty Korean dishes that they could try at home amidst laughter, fun, and conversations. The sessions ended off on a sweet note with the social media famous Dalgona coffee!

In a heartwarming contrast to the culinary adventure, the Pet Therapy sessions held at E4 ECubes and SDE4 Open Plaza on 31 October 2023 offered a tranquil retreat and emotional connection. Participants were greeted by furry and adorable dogs, each eager to share their comforting presence and unconditional affection. As the session progressed, participants engaged in playful interactions with the furry companions, often accompanied by wide smiles on their faces.

We hope the students who have participated in the various WellNUS activities brought away enriching experiences, fond memories and a newfound appreciation for holistic living.
