Celebrating Our ECE Community: Highlights of 2025
Dear ECE Community,
As 2025 draws to a close, I am filled with gratitude and pride as I reflect on the achievements of our vibrant ECE community. Across research, student life, competitions, and community engagement, this year’s milestones have exemplified the passion, resilience, and talent that define our department.
The year has been marked by meaningful achievements, inspiring moments, and a strong sense of togetherness. Through our teaching, research, and student life initiatives, ECE has continued to thrive—not only as a department at the forefront of technological innovation, but also as a community that places people at the heart of what we do.
Our students have continued to shine beyond the classroom, earning top honours in external competitions and developing innovative solutions across diverse domains. Their accomplishments reflect the spirit of curiosity, creativity, and excellence that we strive to cultivate in ECE.
We also celebrate the outstanding contributions of our faculty and researchers, whose work continues to advance cutting-edge research in areas such as artificial intelligence, communications, electronics, robotics, and sustainable technologies. Their dedication to teaching, mentorship, and research excellence plays a vital role in shaping our students and strengthening ECE’s standing both locally and internationally.
None of this would be possible without the strong collaboration across our community. I would like to thank our academic and administrative staff for your steadfast support, leadership, and commitment. To our students, your drive, resilience, and enthusiasm have made this a truly remarkable year.
On behalf of the department, I wish you a restful holiday season filled with joy and good health. Let us look ahead to the new year with renewed optimism and purpose.
Warm regards,
Prof Biplab Sikdar
Head of Department (NUS ECE)
