Ear Aesthetics - Aiding reconstructive procedure through innovation and design

Ear Aesthetics is about a surgery process approached from a scientific and rational approach. The process will be looking into improving the method use to treat Microtia. Using the processes of design thinking, this project aims to improve the usability and accuracy of this method. The ultimate goal for this improved usability is to allow more patients to enjoy better treatments and medical interventions.

Face Mask is a leveller used to find the line of symmetry of the face in order to mirror the position of the ear from one side of the face to the other.


Flow chart of the new proposed method to supplement the existing procedure to bring about better clinical outcome.


Mass customisation: Ear templates generated from a single script to aid the surgeon shape the ear scaffold.


Scale Ruler is a tool used to provide a point of reference for scaling.

JUICE

JUICE is a low powered electric hand blender designed for aspiring cooks between 9 and 14 years old. Innovative technology and design is leveraged to make the blender safe and easy to use for a target audience that is typically not allowed near it.

Designed with Kwek Wen Shu and Lim Kim

JUICE the electric hand blender designed for children.


The perfect blend, children will be now able to make their favourite drink by themselves.


JUICE can only be activated when it is used in its proprietary beaker.



Mini Monocle

Mini Monocle is a mixed-reality iPad app for young children of ages 4 to 6. Mini Monocle aims to improve children’s recognition of real life objects, by allowing them to explore around their houses while learning new vocabulary at the same time.

NOUVELLE

NOUVELLE Inspired by the chapters of a book, Nouvelle is made up of totems that are used for sales, storage and displays. Sliding glass panels, which aids the set up of store, are also used to create semi-private spaces for customers to experience the products.

Designed with Sarah Mokhtar In collaboration with L'Oreal Scental

Noevelle displayed in an airport context, show casing all the new products.
