Innovation & Design Hub, or The Hub in short, is a space to create, tinker and pursue exciting ideas to spur innovation. It comprises the Media Room, Sandbox, iLounge, and Tinkering Corner. For more information about The Hub, please visit https://innovation-design-hub.webflow.io/

For staff, booking for the Media Room, Sandbox, and iLounge can be done through the Facility Booking System.

Students can make reservations for the Media Room and schedule maker consultations through the Hub's booking form.

For bookings, please note the following:

Please ensure that the spaces booked can fit the number of pax you're expecting for your event.
You may rearrange the furniture to fit your event needs but kindly return them back to their original positions after use.
Please arrange your own manpower.
If your event requires logistics items such as additional chairs, tables, TVs, extension sockets, etc, please make the necessary arrangements using your own resources.
Please factor in the bump in/out time when booking the spaces.
Food and drinks are not allowed in the Hub at all times.
Please do not leave your belongings unattended. We are not responsible for lost or stolen items.

Spaces

Media Room

The Media Room is suitable for photography and videography work. It is equipped with some acoustic surface, green screen, and photography-videography equipment.

Seating capacity: 8 people

Sandbox

Sandbox is a fun and energetic space to inspire and engage students in creative play and in realizing their ideas. Chairs and tables are arranged near power plugs to allow activities where electric power is needed.

Seating capacity: 29 people

iLounge

iLounge is a space for discussions and project meetings. It consists of a discussion pod and is equipped with lounge sitting space.

Seating capacity: 36 people

Tinkering Corner

Tinkering Corner is an activity space for undergraduate students to tinker. The space is equipped with tools for light prototyping work. With equipment such as laser cutting and vacuum forming machine, its usage is supervised by a Lab Executive.
