A big round of applause for our NUS Formula SAE team as they return from Michigan, USA, flying the Singapore and NUS flags high! The team clinched 18th out of 69 places at the Formula SAE Electric competition in June, with their R23e all-electric race car being judged in areas such as vehicle dynamics and cost. The team also scored 9th place in the design finals.
“Being the first Singapore FSAE team to create an electric race car and compete in the EV competition post-COVID, we encountered unforeseen hurdles that tested our resolve. While we couldn’t demonstrate our true performance due to last-minute system hiccups before the endurance race, we emerged with valuable lessons etched into our souls,” said R23e team lead Muhammad Nazirul.
