Congratulations to Team Bumblebee who won the first prize in the Autonomy Challenge Award and Best Design Documentation at RoboSub 2022!
RoboSub is an annual international competition in which student teams design and build autonomous underwater vehicles (AUVs) to complete a series of tasks in a pre-defined mission that mimics real-world applications, including maintaining heading and depth, attitude control, navigation, dropping a marker, and launching a torpedo. Held at the University of Maryland in the USA from 27 July 2022 to 2 August 2022, RoboSub 2022 marked 25 years of the competition and the first time the event had returned to in-person attendance since the COVID-19 pandemic. Team Bumblebee was among 39 student teams from across the globe who participated in the competition.
Team Bumblebee comprises students from various disciplines such as Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, and Computer Science.
