Champion of the 2018 Maritime RobotX Challenge

The Bumblebee team emerged as Champion in the 2018 Maritime RobotX Challenge in Hawaii, a global autonomous marine robotics competition that is held every two years. This is a particularly significant achievement for the team as they are the first non-US team to win the competition since its inception in 2012.

Congratulations to the NUS Bumblebee team for achieving 1st place in the 2018 Maritime RobotX Challenge!

We are proud to share that Bumblebee (the student team of BeeX) has emerged Champion in the global autonomous marine robotics competition known as RobotX, which was conceptualized by the naval defense labs of the 5 Pacific countries (US, Australia, Singapore, Japan and Korea). This win is particularly significant for us as we are the first non-US team to win, and this has been 7 years in the making ? so much sacrifices from our kids who are just 20+ years old.
