EDIC Project Showcase 2023
The EDIC Project Showcase 2023 featured the work of our Year 3 students in Innovation & Design Programme and inaugural batch of students in the Master of Science in Engineering Design & Innovation programme who completed their year-long design projects at the end of the August 2023 semester. Find out more about their projects that were presented to members of the NUS community, industry partners, and the public during the event.

Pre-crawler device for infants
We provide parents of infants with neuromuscular disorders with an intuitive, effective and convenient pre-crawler device, which aids in the necessary reinforcement and induction of muscle memory through reciprocal and repetitive limb movements.
Universal miniscrew guide
To address visualisation and placement challenges when orthodontists insert temporary anchorage devices (TADs) in patients' jaws due to restrictive insertion sites, we developed a radio-opaque TAD guide for swift, precise positioning and securement of the insertion site location and angle.
ZenHealth: Enhancing mental resilience through habit cultivation
This project aims to promote and cultivate a more mentally resilient student population by lowering the friction to the adoption of research-backed methods, through a blend of physical sensory experiences provided by the ZenBox, and holistic digital approach from the ZenApp.

EcoAir: IoT-enabled energy consumption monitoring in warehouses
For those managing large, cooled spaces who want higher efficiency, EcoAir provides an easy-to-install, retrofitted solution which can reduce the energy consumption of your cooling system while being significantly cheaper than hardware upgrades.

Go deep in green with Bang & Olufsen
This project aims to revolutionize the consumer electronics industry, specifically Bang & Olufsen, by designing both a sustainable packaging and an eco-friendly battery source, ensuring a greener and more environmentally responsible future for tech products.
Innovating for Sustainable Cities
The Moving Farm: container mobile farming system
In this project, we designed a container farming system to provide farmers and cities with a seamless container urban farm system to maximise crop yield, which is easy to operate and can be integrated into any standard 20ft recycled shipping containers.
Innovating with Immersive Reality
D-Spark: patient communication training for dentistry students
This project aims to enhance dentistry students' dentist-patient communication ability by developing a readily accessible software that provides risk-free environment for interactions with diverse geriatric patient archetypes, addressing the limitations of current standardised patient programmes.
Multiplayer VR for collaborative training in Code Blue
The project aims to bridge the communication and workflow coordination gap among nurses while they are attending to emergency situations such as resuscitating a patient, through a VR simulation that serves as a platform for nursing students to practice these skills.
Special Competition Projects
NUS Formula SAE: R24e
In NUS Formula SAE, we design and fabricate a formula-style single seater car to take part in FSAE Michigan, one of the toughest inter-varsity competitions where we compete against some of the best universities around the world in both static engineering judging and dynamic time trials.
