Inpatient medication supply system

Many hospitals rely heavily on human porters for the delivery of medication. As porters often have other urgent tasks to attend to, this approach results in manpower inefficiency. Moreover, manual verification of medication by human porters may be prone to errors, especially during peak hours.

This project aims to automate a human porter’s job of picking up, transporting, and dropping off medication in hospital wards. The autonomous solution is designed to identify and deliver the correct medication from a pharmacy to destination wards. It is also designed to secure the medication to prevent any interception from unauthorised personnel during portering.
