VReal: Virtual reality childbirth delivery simulator

Medical and midwifery students need more hands-on training to enhance their competency due to declining birth rates, restricted access, and shortage of instructors. Our solution is an immersive medical education tool that offers repeatable hands-on training to bridge the gap between theory and practice. Through our studies with obstetrics and gynaecology students, we have found that our solution is more effective for learning and visualisation. Students also reported three time more knowledge gained compared to conventional training that uses manikins.
