VRObs: VR childbirth simulator for medical students
Project Motivation
VRObs is a VR training simulation, targeted to provide training for a primigravida uncomplicated birth delivery. Students are able to learn independently and receive feedback and guidance from a virtualized instructor. The product consists of the Virtual Reality software with an accompanying website that serves as an analytics platform to view your performance.
Design Solution
VRObs consist of 3 main features: Stage-based learning, Motion Guidance and Real-time analytics. We provide visual, audio, and spatial guidance for the users and are able to do real-time tracking of their performances so as to correct them on-the-go.
The primary market would be Medical Schools and Institutions that trains undergraduate Doctors and Nurses (Midwives). The secondary market would be other medical professionals in need of birth delivery training. Affiliated Medical Schools within ASEAN would also be our focus as they are well connected to Singapore Medical School under the ASEAN Medical School Network.
