The Smart Solutions Studio consists of projects from industry stakeholders which can benefit from Industrial Revolution 4.0/5.0. This includes: the (1) automation of tasks in their daily operations thereby increasing productivity, (2) collaboration between humans and machines, and (3) explore how technologies in Artificial Intelligence, Vision Based Systems, and Embedded Systems can be deployed in new use cases.

The problem statements in this studio include the following:

• Exploration of new use cases for edge AI through the use of AI Accelerators on board small form factor ARM computers. These projects could range from better object detection, improved inference or voice intelligence (project partner: Venture Corporation Limited).
• "The Glowing Guide": app-less tool for patients who are not tech-savvy or do not have convenient access to smart devices to navigate within a hospital environment, thereby minimising late arrivals and reducing stress for these patients (project partner: Alexandra Hospital).
• Automated image capture and AI classification for optimising EPDM diaphragm maintenance in biopharmaceutical systems (project partner: Abbvie Operations Singapore Pte Ltd).
