This course provides a comprehensive overview of current trends, best practices, and case studies in the realm of Human-Centered AI, equipping participants with the knowledge and skills necessary to develop AI services in the participants’ working context that prioritize human-centric values (e.g., FATE- Fairness, Accountability, Transparency & Ethics in AI).

Designing Innovations for Sustainability

Businesses must continuously innovate to thrive in today’s fast-paced world. Additionally, with increasing societal pressure to act more responsibly and adopt sustainable practices, they must simultaneously strive to reduce the negative environmental impact of their innovative products and services. Business leaders can achieve both objectives by designing their innovations for sustainability, but many lack the know-how to get started.

This one-day interactive course empowers business leaders and innovators to start designing their innovations for sustainability by first equipping them with the latest knowledge, insights, and developments in core sustainability concepts and trends. Participants will also learn to critically evaluate and improve their proposed innovations' sustainability performance. They will learn various frameworks, techniques, and tools to minimize the carbon footprint of their proposed innovations and enable them to participate in the Circular Economy.

By the end of this course, participants will gain the necessary know-how to lead their teams to design their future innovations for sustainability, communicate their design decisions and outcomes effectively, and achieve their sustainability goals.

Designing Sustainable and Impactful Packaging

Packaging is an indispensable part of the modern economy. It represents your brand and critically influences your organization’s sustainability performance. With more consumers becoming increasingly aware of the environmental impacts of packaging, we have seen businesses trying to understand (a) what constitutes sustainable packaging, (b) how to design sustainable and impactful packaging for their products, and (c) what are the implications of doing so.

This two-day interactive course empowers business leaders and innovators to start their transition into sustainable and impactful packaging by equipping them with the latest knowledge, insights, and developments in core sustainable packaging concepts, trends, and consumer insights. Business leaders and innovators will also learn about the different packaging materials, reporting standards, and regulations (e.g., the Mandatory Packaging Reporting in Singapore).

Most importantly, business leaders and innovators will learn how to evaluate and improve the sustainability performance of their proposed packaging and learn how to design sustainable and impactful packaging, communicate their design decisions and outcomes effectively, and achieve their sustainability goals.

This course will be jointly conducted with TRIA, a global packaging solution company.
