CDE Receives New Gifts for the Masonic Charitable Fund Endowed Bursary
The College of Design and Engineering (CDE) has received three new endowed gifts totalling S$100,000 towards the Masonic Charitable Fund (MCF) Endowed Bursary, which supports financially disadvantaged students.
A Gift Agreement Signing Ceremony was held on 12 January 2024 at CDE, graced by CDE Acting Dean Professor Teo Kie Leong, senior faculty and leadership, as well as representatives from the Masonic Charitable Fund, led by Patron Dato Jeyaraj Ratnaswamy and Chairman Dr Brian Shegar.
In his welcome remarks, Prof Teo expressed his gratitude, saying, “On behalf of the College, I would like to thank Dr Brian Shegar and his team for their continuous support in raising funds to help our students in CDE.”
Established in 2022, the bursary—now known as the Masonic Charitable Fund Endowed Bursary—continues to provide vital financial assistance to CDE students in need, reflecting the Fund’s ongoing commitment to empowering young engineers through education.
The three new gifts for the bursary are:
- A donation of S$50,000 made possible by the MCF - AE Beavis Dalhousie Chapter.
- A donation of S$25,000 made possible by the MCF - Ramgopal Menon Eastern Gate Lodge.
- A donation of S$25,000 made possible by the MCF - John Stewart Lodge The Lodge of St George.
