The College of Design and Engineering (CDE) at the National University of Singapore hosted the NUS 120th Anniversary Charity Golf @ Sentosa on 16 July 2025 at the prestigious Sentosa Golf Club. This memorable event brought together alumni, industry partners, and friends of CDE in support of a meaningful cause, raising funds to support students in financial need.

The event began with a shotgun tee-off of 36 flights at the iconic Serapong course, where players enjoyed friendly competition, fine weather, and great company. Following the tournament, the golfers gathered for an appreciation dinner, joined by many of our generous donors who have supported the College’s mission.

Thanks to the generosity of our donors and the enthusiastic participation of the golfing community, we are proud to announce that we surpassed our fundraising goal of $700,000. This reaffirms the strength and spirit of our CDE community.

During the dinner, Professor Teo Kie Leong, Dean of CDE, highlighted the College’s commitment to ensuring that every student has the opportunity to succeed, regardless of financial background. In line with this commitment, the College launched a year-long fundraising campaign starting in December 2024 to the end of 2025 — and to date, has raised an outstanding $2.87 million in support of student bursaries.

This achievement would not have been possible without the collective dedication of our donors, supporters, and organising committee, whose efforts ensured the event’s success.

As we celebrate both the 120th anniversary of NUS and the 70th anniversary of CDE - Engineering, this event stands as a testament to what we can accomplish together with purpose and generosity.

We look forward to your continued partnership as we empower the next generation of innovators, leaders, and changemakers.

Thank you for making a difference.
