Dou Gong is a combination of wooden components in traditional Chinese architecture connected without the use of adhesives and nails.
Teachers and students from the Department of Architecture at NUS held a Dougong workshop at the Chung-Wen pagoda. Under the guidance of the teacher, the students also made the first Dou Gong building blocks in Singapore.
