The proposed facility will be sited within the 20-hectare zone on Jurong Island designated for a new low-carbon data-centre park, and will allow researchers and industry partners to test solutions suited for tropical conditions. These include advanced cooling approaches such as liquid and immersion cooling, renewable-energy integration like solar and biofuels, smart microgrids, and AI-driven optimisation of energy and water use — innovations aimed at improving data-centre efficiency in hot, humid environments.
