WELL Building Institute (IWBI) Social Sustainability Summit: Making Social Sustainability Tangible, Investable and Actionable

On 15 April in Singapore, the International WELL Building Institute (IWBI) Social Sustainability Summit will convene leaders across corporate, real estate, policy and finance to make social sustainability more tangible, investable and operational. The Department of the Built Environment (DBE) is in support of this purpose, and advocates for a people-first approach to the sustainable built environment—advancing knowledge, educating learners, and fostering enterprise so that social sustainability can be planned, delivered, and measured in practice. The IWBI programme will spotlight practical pathways—from employee wellbeing and responsible supply chains to governance and community impact—through panel sessions focused on translating people-first ambitions into real-world implementation.

A special congratulations as well to Professor Lam Khee Poh from NUS DBE, who was recognised as Global WELL Educator of the Year. Prof Lam will also be moderating Panel 3: “Social Sustainability in Real Estate & Urban Development — Designing for Community & Cultural Heritage.”
