Design and the Social: Teaching and Practice - Dr. Joshua Comaroff (Urban Studies, Yale-NUS College)
Joshua Comaroff is Assistant Professor of Social Sciences (Urban Studies) at Yale-NUS College. Joshua completed a PhD in cultural geography at UCLA in 2009, after first receiving the Master of Architecture (with distinction) and the Master of Landscape Architecture from Harvard GSD in 2001. He has taught at SUTD, and at NUS Department of Architecture before joining Yale-NUS College. Together with Ong Ker-Shing, he is the founder of the multi-award winning practice Lekker Architects, and author of Horror in Architecture (ORO, University of Minnesota).

Jihye is a former Liveable Cities Studio Leader and Research Associate. She possesses years of experience working in the industry and with various renowned professors and experts in the area of urban planning, design, and architecture. Jihye worked on various projects during her stint at the Centre for Sustainable Asian Cities (CSAC) and is highly passionate about cities and the urban. Currently pursuing a PhD, she continues to be active in academia and practice, and keenly shares her insights and takeaways.
