ConcreteAI, a CDE spin-off, is revolutionising the construction industry by enabling real-time, continuous monitoring of concrete strength. Its innovative solution helps builders, contractors, and precast manufacturers cut casting cycle time by 20%, slash resource waste by 50%, and ensure consistent, high-quality control of in-situ concrete.

By integrating a sensor with probes that measure strength and temperature, ConcreteAI provides live data to track the curing process. This on-the-ground visibility lets builders optimise resource allocation, reduce costs, and cut reliance on traditional cube testing. The reusable sensor transmitters further enhance resource efficiency, making the solution both sustainable and cost-effective.

Backed by NUS Graduate Research Innovation Program (GRIP) and Enterprise Singapore, ConcreteAI is poised for growth. Its ambitious plans for expansion, product certification, and further development will extend its impact on construction projects beyond Singapore’s borders.

Founded by Civil Engineering and Innovation and Design (iDP) graduates Chang Qingyang, Ooi Xi Yi, Issac Siow & Peter Lim, ConcreteAI began as a CDE4301A Ideas to Startup final-year project in 2021. Together with a team of experts in engineering and design, they officially launched the company in January 2022. Their mission? To boost productivity, sustainability, and quality in construction worldwide.
