MESSAGE FROM THE DEAN!

Dear students, alumni, colleagues, and partners of CDE,
Every year, we celebrate Commencement with our students and their loved ones, marking this milestone with ceremonies and parties, and offering our heartfelt wishes for their future.
In turn, our students have taken stock of their time with us to share their fondest memories, the events that have made the most impression on them and their hopes for the future.
Ms Corea Chua (Valedictorian, Engineering Science Programme) reminded her cohort that “We don’t need to have it all figured out. We all just need to start building, brick by brick, and step by step. It’s about creating something meaningful with what we have.”
Across our ceremonies, we were fortunate to have been joined by a distinguished lineup of guest speakers who shared words of wisdom and encouragement to help our new graduates steer their course ahead.
Ms Eng Se-Hsieng, an Engineering alumnus, Chief Sales Officer of nami.ai, and a member of our CDE Advisory Board, noted that our graduates would have honed their ability to collaborate across diversity and leverage each other’s strengths. She encouraged them to fight for what they believed in and to leverage their intellectual curiosity to lift the lives of those around them.
To the Class of 2025 and our current students, I echo Ms Eng’s words, encouraging you to embrace different perspectives and push boundaries to foster growth and make a meaningful impact in the world around you.
Professor Teo Kie Leong
