NUS Engineering Class of 1982 raised a total of $1.7 million for the College of Design and Engineering

Over the years, since the Engineering Class of 1982 Bursary (Endowed) Fund was set up in 2009, a total of more than $1.7 million was raised. All proceeds will go towards the Engineering Class of 1982 Bursary (Endowed) Fund to benefit disadvantaged undergraduate students from NUS College of Design and Engineering (CDE), with up to 50 bursary awards every year. The fundraising is ongoing, and donations can be made at Giving.sg till 21^st June 2023.

At the golf event on Wednesday 26 October 2022 at the Laguna National Golf Resort Club, NUS Engineering Class of 1982 raised more than $450,000 through the generous support of sponsors, donors and matching grants. This amount far exceeded the initial target of $300,000 and we are very thankful to our alumni Mr Edwin Seow (Engineering '82), Mr Seah Cheng San (Engineering '82), Mr Yeo Keng Joon (MBA '85) and Mr Wong Jin Kok (Engineering '85) for organising this event.

One hundred forty-four golfers joined the event which was followed by a dinner and a prize presentation ceremony at the club. Mr Edwin Seow, Chairman of the NUS Engineering Class of 1982 40th Anniversary Charity Golf 2022 Committee, presented the cheque to the Dean of CDE, Professor Aaron Thean, in the presence of the Organising Committee and Associate Professor Daniel Chua, Vice Dean of CDE Office of Development.
